this is the day !

I have got to make a commitment to myself! i quit smoking years ago..i know that i can lose weight! starting today ( again!) i am going to weigh in daily, make smarter decisions when it comes to food choices, and force myself to work out and walk daily! Im going to drink even more water and im not going to eat too late in the day. Im going to make sure that i do not starve myself (my problem is eating too little most of the time and eating too much before bed) i have to do this for myself, and my family. I also have to commit to keeping the food journal…(one more thing to keep up with! lol) anyhow..

    I am here with ya!!! My concern is that I suggest you change your wording for the, “force myself to work out and walk daily”
    I want you to choose exercise that you will absolutely LOVE and feel so spoiled to do for yourself. What do YOU love to do….ask yourself….even if you haven’t done it in a very long time….what do you love to do that is active??? Give me three things….I’ll give you mine….I love to waterski, however I hate that since I am out of shape and overweight that I am embarrassed in my bikini and I can only ski for a short period of time before my lower back and quadraceps collapse….There for I will power walk/jog on the beach to help me focus on what I don’t want to miss out on. I also love to dance but when I am overweight I simply won’t go dancing, NO WAY! So I will do aerobic which include dance and music to prepare me for what I love to do….dance. Lastly, I love the ocean and I love to play and swim in the water, however if I am too uncomforable to walk to the water in my bathing suit then I won’t go in. So I will put on my bathing suit once or twice a week, my favorite bathing suit to remind myself of what work I need to do. Now you try…….I really hope to hear from you !!! thanks

    One thing you shouldnt do is weigh yourself daily. Our water weight fluctuates from day to day. You will gain & Lose the same lb. day after day. You have a weigh in day here. Stick to that.Mine is on Saturdays. I wake up, walk in the bathroom, strip and weigh in. If I weigh myself more than once a week, I freak out.

    I believe you can absolutely do this! it takes alot to quit smoking. You have achieved that goal and now you are starting this one. BRAVO!

    That is one bad thing about exercise. If you dont find something you like doing, its so much easier to quit. I am finding out that if I do several different DVD workouts during the week, I dont get bored & I have more fun. Something to try for you maybe….there are all sorts of cool things out there.

    Now I have to disagree with AuntTeeTee. I weigh myself everyday and it really helps me stay focused! I go into it knowing that there are fluctuations based on TOM and whatnot and I won’t lie sometimes the weight brings me down even though there is nothing I can do about it. But in the long run it has really helped me! So do what is good for you:) HOpe you have a wonderful weekend and welcome to the crazy world of losing weight! lol;)
