heartbreakers!

because im moving today…i will need everyone to post their weigh in results to the forum……just tell us how much you lost or gained of if you maintained….(example i lost 3  pounds! or i gained 1  pound…or i maintained)

Joy is the co-leader but, i havent given her a notice ..to see if she could fill in….so if everyone will post to the forum someone will be able to tally up the results and send them in to molly and fiesty kitty kama of the wildcats!!

guess im moving today!!

its spur of the moment…but, my dad needs me…now…so i am moving today…i have to finish packing a few things…and my hubby is going to finish up the house..and packing the rest…my dads biopsy is tomorrow…im going to leave the kids at a friends house that i have up there…(thank God she is going to be off that day…!!) and i will take him to the hospital to start his blood work at 10:30 and he will then start the biopsy at 11:30 he will be there for approximately 6 hours or so…..

this will be a long time for me to sit there worrying about him….i should probably take something to do…wish i knew how to crochet…or something….guess i will opt for playing scrabble or something on my cell phone or reading magazines…or trying to think about all of the things that i need to do when he gets out….i dont know….

but, please know that life goes on…and we need to stay active in the heartbreakers or whatever team you are on….stay focused….and keep posting thinner photos of you….in the photo journal….so i can check them out when i get back online…i cant wait to see them..! and while im gone…please know that i will be eating better than ever…and i will be walking alot! when my dad gets better…i will be able to enjoy the gym again….but until then i will take advantage of living in the country on a dirt road…where its quiet….(i live in the city right now…it will be a good change for us…i miss the country!) anyhow…i better run..i have to finish packing up what im taking….and tie up some loose ends….

sacred heart diet/detox

Sacred Heart Medical Diet

This 7-day eating plan can be used as often as you like. If correctly followed, it will clean out your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well-being. After only 7 days of this process, you will begin to feel lighter by at least 10 pounds and possibly 17 pounds, and experience an abundance of energy.

SOUP:

  • 1 or 2 cans of stewed tomatoes
  • 3 plus large green onions
  • 1 large can of beef broth (no fat)
  • 1 pkg. Lipton Soup mix (chicken noodle)
  • 1 bunch of celery
  • 2 cans green beans
  • 2 lbs. Carrots
  • 2 Green Peppers
Season with salt, pepper curry, parsley, if desired, or bouillon, hot or Worcestershire sauce. Cut veggies in small to medium pieces. Cover with water. Boil fast for 10 minutes. Reduce to simmer and continue to cook until veggies are tender.
This soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry during the week. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want. This soup will not add calories. The more you eat, the more you will lose. You may want to fill a thermos in the morning if you will be away during the day.
DRINKS:
  • Unsweetened juices
  • Tea (also herbal)
  • Coffee
  • Cranberry juice
  • Skim milk
  • Water, water, water
DAY ONE
Any fruit (except bananas). Cantaloupes and watermelon are lower in calories than most other fruits. Eat only soup and fruit today.
DAY TWO
All vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with fresh raw, cooked or canned veggies. Try to eat green leafy veggies and stay away from dry beans, peas or corn. Eat veggies along with the soup. At dinnertime tonight reward yourself with a big baked potato and butter. Don’t eat any fruits through today.
DAY THREE
Eat all the soup, fruit and veggies you want. Do not have a baked potato. If you have eaten as above for three days and not cheated, you should find that you have lost 5-7 pounds.
DAY FOUR
Bananas and skim milk: Eat at least 3 bananas and drink as much milk as you can today, along with the soup. Bananas are high in calories and carbohydrates, as is the milk but on this particular day, your body will need the potassium and carbs. Proteins and calcium to lessen the cravings for sweets.
DAY FIVE
Beef and tomatoes: you may have 10 to 20 ounces of beef and a can of tomatoes, or as many as 6 tomatoes on this day. Eat the soup at least once today.
DAY SIX
Beef and veggies, eat to your heart’s content of the beef and veggies today. You can even have 2-3 steaks if you like with green leafy veggies but no baked potato. Be sure to eat the soup at least once today.
DAY SEVEN
Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and veggies, again, be sure to stuff yourself and eat the soup. You can add cooked veggies to your rice if you wish.
By the end of the 7th day, if you have not cheated on this diet, you should have lost 10 to 17 pounds. If you have lost more than 17 pounds, stay off the diet for two days before resuming the diet again.
This diet is fast. The secret lies within the principle that you will burn more calories than you take in. It will flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well-being. This diet does not lend itself to drinking any alcoholic beverages at any time. Because of the fat build-up in your system. Go off the diet at least 14 hours before any intake of alcohol.
Due to the variety of digestive systems in individuals, this diet will affect everyone differently. After day three, you will have more energy than when you began, if you do not cheat. After being on the diet for several days, you will find that your bowel movements have changed. Eat a cup of bran or fiber. Although you can have black coffee with this diet, you may find that you don’t need caffeine after the third day.
The basic fat burning soup can be eaten anytime you feel hungry during the seven days. Eat as much as you wish. Remember the more you eat, the more you will lose. You can eat broiled, boiled or baked chicken instead of the beef. Absolutely no skin on the chicken. If you prefer, you can substitute broiled fish for the beef on only one of the beef days. You need the high protein in the beef for the other days.
Continue on the diet as long as you wish and feel the difference both mentally and physically.
DO NOT - DO NOT
No bread, alcohol, carbonated drinks (including diet drinks). Remember, absolutely no fried foods.
DO - DO - DO - DO
Drink plenty - at least 6 to 8 glasses - of water a day, as well as any combination of the following beverages: black coffee, unsweetened fruit drinks, cranberry juice and skim milk.
This diet comes from the Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital that is used for overweight heart patients in order to lose weight rapidly, usually prior to surgery.

you seldom think…

 you seldom think….about how the choices that you make as a child…a teen,or  a young adult…will affect you as an adult.

my dad was a really big drinker…we would brag about drinking 100 proof and stuff like that…recently he found out that he has hepatitis c (could have gotten this sexually or from needle drugs…or possibly from giving blood years ago…plus he has had blood transfusions back in the day) anyhow…now that he has started going to the doctor regularly they are now worried that he may have cirrohsis of the liver…which could be from the hep c or it could be from the drinking…a double whammy…

now that he has quit drinking, and come to know the Lord ….its all just so sudden for him….life is really hitting him hard. i think that he battles with depression…he is a single 58 year old man…who is just grumpy most of the time(and this was before all of his new issues…) im not sure how he will handle all of this …the therapy for hep c if he doesnt have cirohsis…. the liver biopsy this friday…. please keep him in your prayers….and please also pray for me and my family…we are going to move up there with him..to take care of him…and im not sure how well that will go……but, he is my daddy… and i love him….                im off to go paint so i can hurry up and get up there with him….everyday i hear how its taking me 10 years to do a job that should have been done weeks ago…..(from my dad of course!)  talk to you later guys…..                                              april

sorry i have been so busy guys…im still painting, remodeling…etc.. hopefully it wont be too much longer…i really need to get up there with my dad…sounds like the doc may be concerned that he may have  cirrohsis of the liver… and they already know that he has hepatitis c …. if he does have cirrohsis it could be from the hep c or his many many years of very heavy drinking…

please keep the mean old , grumpy man in your prayers….i love him to death..but, i know that he is going to drive me crazy…or maybe he already has….

april 15, day 4

today was fine…got all of the stupid wallpaper off finally!! we are a little closer to moving…but have decided that we arent going to be able to move the doublewide that was given to us….the people had the tongues of the trailer cut off (there are 2 ..one for each side of the trailer) and they also cut the metal frame…..tommy really doesnt have time to mess with it, help me fix this one up…and then actually work and make money at the same time….its too much…i figure…if its Gods will it will happen anyway…. we will have to see what happens…as for now..im just going to keep on keeping on….

plenty of water, still could have worked out harder….ate a little too much at dinner time…spinach, cheese , and steak omelet with tomatoes…and it was yummy…but, i still shouldnt have eaten it all…(but, it could have been worse…it could have been a tub of rocky road or something..huh?)

we have a few new heartbreakers…..hope to see them all in the forum soon….    gotta hit the hay…. goodnight!

APRIL 14 DAY 3

I DID FINE TODAY..NOT GREAT…COULD HAVE GOTTEN IN A LITTLE MORE ACTIVITY..BUT, AS FAR AS FOOD (WELL COULD HAVE EATEN MORE …I SUPPOSE)

TOMORROW ..I WILL EAT BETTER…(MAYBE I CAN TALK HUBBY INTO LETTING ME GO GET THE ITEMS I NEED FOR THAT SACRED HEART “DIET” I HATE THAT WORD…TO ME ITS MORE LIKE A CLEANSE…IT CLEANSES YOUR BODY OF IMPURITIES..AND SUCH.  TOMMY DOESNT WANT ME TO BUY TOO MANY GROCERIES SINCE WE WILL BE MOVING SOON….I SAY…WE STILL HAVE TO EAT..AND IT MIGHT AS WELL BE HEALTHY AND GOOD… ITS NOT LIKE IM GOING TO GET SOMETHING THAT COULDNT TRAVEL WITH US WHEN WE EVER DO GO…BESIDES WE WILL PROBABLY HAVE IT ALREADY EATEN…

ANYHOW…IM STILL STOKED…IM SO EXCITED ABOUT OUR MOVE…AND ABOUT GETTING IN SHAPE…

april 13, day 2

its day 2 of my new beginning! and i accomplished all 4 of my goals…i drank lots of water! i got in atleast an hour power walk……i didnt eat any junk…but, i did eat a little too much at dinner time… :( i will do better tomorrow! but, i am glad that i got my activity time in again….it was nice i took the kiddos, and Georgia….for the first set of laps and then i walked a little faster on my own..and even jogged a little bit…(kinda doing the couch to 5k thing…kinda!) anyhow..im excited about tomorrow..i know that it will be even better and i cant wait to talk tommy into letting me do the sacred heart diet…maybe he will do it with me….?? anyhow….hope you all have a great night…
